Our Hotel

The hotel we use is called Les Tilleuls ‘The Lime Trees.’

It is a country house in the medieval village of Plazac.

Lovely terraces Swimming pool Terraces

This large house was the former summer residence of the bishops of Perigueux (capital of the Dordogne) and has a history that dates back to the twelfth century of which some elements are still visible. The bedrooms are traditionally decorated and each has its own private bathroom. There is a swimming pool and lovely terraces perfect for relaxing after a full day's activities.

The owners Karin and Dik are excellent hosts and will make every effort to make your stay memorable. The breakfast is a feast of bread, croissants, cheeses, ham, jam, yogurts and fruit. All you need to keep you going for an active holiday.

Packed lunches are available on request and consist of sandwiches with various fillings on homemade bread, fruit, yogurt and a bottle of water. Evening meal is a leisurely affair starting with an aperitif on the terrace.

If the weather is suitable the meal continues on the terrace otherwise you retire to the antique furnished dining room warmed by an open fire. The meal includes a starter, main course, cheese, and desert. The menu changes each night with specialities of the area such as duck featuring highly on the menu. The quality, preparation and presentation of the ingredients are exceptional thanks to Karin's culinary talent.
